Nice and refreshing touch for the residents in the heartlands, was the inset of a jazz band in the programme. Featuring young and promising star, Meryl Joan Lee, Yi Zhe on bass, Alvin the ah beng on sax and Steven on keys. Mr Zaqy Mohammud was the GOH for the evening and he was frankly one of the GOHs I know that didnt scoot off after 3 bites. He stayed on till the very end and was chatting with Meryl & Yi Zhe about his hectic work life. One loves an MP who can talk to the ground dont ya think.
Anyway, Meryl emceed for the night and did a good job. *pats Meryl on shoulders*
