On 9 July, various Google staff over the world congregated at Tanjong Beach Club to let their hair (wigs) down. There was an award ceremony that honoured the popstars for having excelled in their various divisions and efforts.
The party saw many yuppies in costumes and as sporting as they were, there was a superstar featured always – when a Maroon Five song was on, ‘Adam Levine’ would come up and serenade the people, and next up was ‘Lady Gaga’.
Our very own ‘popstars’ was Sober Til Sunday, who knew how to make the crowd go wild, especially when letting the Google stars jam on stage with them. And they weren’t fakes – they delivered the Sweet Child O Mine solo as you would have expected it.
